"We must touch the laws with trembling hands." – Montesquieu
Legislation is more than a technical task; it is an intricate process that intertwines philosophy, governance, and the art of persuasion. Inspired by Montesquieu's profound observation on the delicacy of crafting laws, we are pleased to announce the release of "A Guide to Legislative Process in the KRI". This guide comprises seven chapters, combining theoretical insights with practical guidance. My contribution focuses on the theoretical dimension, presenting a philosophical background of the legislative process.
One of my books, published in Arabic by the Egyptian Arab Center in Cairo, deals with criminal proceedings and administrative proceedings and their impact on the public administration system in the context of the legal system in France, Egypt, Iraq, and the Kurdistan Region.
This work covers several political and constitutional issues, including the following topics:
Introduction to the concept of politics and its various perspectives, as well as the relationship between politics, the state, and governance.
Introduction to the state, theories of the state, its forms, and its fundamental components.
Understanding systems of governance (democracy and its principles, oligarchy, aristocracy, and totalitarianism).
Examination of political systems (parliamentary and its characteristics, presidential and its features, semi-presidential, and collective government).
Types of governance systems: (republican and monarchical).
Political parties.
Analysis of political systems based on the constitutions of different countries (France, Germany, Egypt, Iraq, Kurdistan, etc.)."
This research focuses on alternative punishments in the modern penal system of the United States, France and several other European countries and their implementation mechanisms in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region, which was published in the newspaper ZariKurmamji which is a weekly newspaper published in Soran.
In this interview with Zarikrmanji newspaper, I discuss the threat of religious rule on Kurdish society, especially the development of political Islamic rule and the mixing of religion with state affairs. As an activist and legal expert, I always emphasize civility, democracy, and political pluralism while respecting human dignity.
